Some History
Ten years ago, the Frey family purchased this historic property, immediately converting the estate vineyards to biodynamic principals and encouraging sustainable practices from every family grower they work with. This is one of France’s finest estates, the crown jewel of the Rhône Valley. Oenologist and proprietor Caroline Frey, alongside Winemaking Director Jacques Desvernois, are producing the authentic standard for quality Syrah across the Northern Rhône
My wines always tell a story, Caroline Frey, Oenologist and Owner
"Because there are no great wines without great grapes, at Paul Jaboulet Aîné, growing vines is the heart of our business; each vine must be able to ripen its grapes in the best conditions and draw the taste of the soil from the soil. Concerned with preserving the quality of our soils and the diversity of our terroirs, we have been practicing a gentle viticulture, and our entire vineyard is officially converting into Organic Agriculture since 2013. Thanks to the efforts we have made to minimize our environmental impact, we obtained the ISO 14 001 certification, in 2012, as well as the High Environmental Value operation certification in 2015 for our work around Biodiversity. The excellence of Paul Jaboulet Aîné cuvées is based on very high quality fruits, sublimated by meticulous vinification and great fine aging. Because on the most beautiful appellations of the Rhône valley, it is in the purest expression of the terroir that are born the great wines, their balance, their complexity, their longevity. ".
